2009 WESTFIELD XTR2

THE STORY

THE STORY

StreetVisions purchased this Westfield XTR2 in August 2012 after seeing it languishing for months in the showroom of 42 Autosports, a Concord NC performance shop.

According to the USA distributor for Westfield, Manik’s Technology, LLC of Richardson, TX, manager Thomas McClintock states it is one of only 3 known to be in the USA.

Originally purchased in September 2009 by Kaleidolinks , MD (Kaleidolinks, inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to youth empowerment and advocacy, incorporated in the District of Columbia. Our mission is to foster the development of a positive self-image in minority youth through active community engagement, social diversity awareness and communication) for the sole purpose of teaching disadvantaged youth skill-based trades to improve their opportunities in securing gainful employment. The original purchase price for the complete kit was $31, 488 in 2009. (see pics}  The most recent sale of a USA based XTR2 was in 2012 and sold for $49,950 by “Classic throttle shop”. Comparable to an Arial Adams of equal pedigree by noted race journalists- today’s price could be also comparable in light of the recent cars selling on BRING A TRAILER.

StreetVisions, with its years of track instruction and coaching throughout the southeast, thought it to be a great “teaching car” with its low cost of operating and a tremendous FUN factor. Soon after the purchase a “track day” with the car was booked and it proved its exceptional performance- clocking 1;45’s at Carolina Motorsports Park. These times places THIS XTR2 in some REALLY fast company. According to an article from TOP GEAR, the XTR2 outperformed the famous Pagani Zonda in track tests.

However, as life has it- many projects took precedent over the years (a Cobblers son has NO shoes) and the XTR2 sat unfinished.

Then in the summer of 2024 an opportunity to intern 2 college engineers plus StreetVisions team, changed course for this little monster. The car was brought out of storage, dis-assembled, gutted of its primitive workmanship and hazardous wiring, and WAS completely re-built.

The pictures on the website representing the finished results speak for themselves. The car is designed for track operation, but it can easily be converted to street use.
